These terms explain how you can use BidCalc's free calculators, guides, auction house directory and embeddable calculator. By using the site you agree to them. How we handle information is in our privacy policy.

Estimates only, not advice

BidCalc's calculators estimate costs from the figures you enter. They are not tax, legal or financial advice, and they can't guarantee that a figure will match your invoice. Fees, VAT treatment and terms differ between auction houses and between lots, so always confirm with the auction house before you bid. The guides give general information only. The Copart UK fee tables are based on Copart's published fee schedule as of September 2026 and may have changed since.

No guarantees

BidCalc is free and provided as it is. We try to keep it accurate and available, but we can't promise it will be free of errors or always working. As far as the law allows, we aren't responsible for losses that result from relying on an estimate or from the site being unavailable. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that can't be limited by law, or affects your legal rights as a consumer.

The auction house directory and other businesses' names

Addresses, phone numbers and websites in our directory are compiled from publicly available listings and may be out of date. Names such as Copart, BCA, Manheim and the auction houses we list belong to their owners. BidCalc isn't affiliated with, endorsed by or paid by any of them, and a listing is not an endorsement. To correct or remove a listing, email info@bidcalc.co.uk.

The embeddable calculator

The embeddable calculator for auction houses is free and provided as it is. If you add it to your website, you are responsible for checking that the fees you enter match your own terms of sale, and for updating it when they change. The calculator shows an estimate and tells visitors to confirm the final figure with you. We ask you to keep the "Calculator by BidCalc" line that comes with the code. We may change or withdraw the calculator at any time. See For auction houses.

Links and adverts

Our pages link to other websites that we don't control and aren't responsible for. The site may carry affiliate links from time to time. They are marked as adverts and never change a calculation.

Using the site fairly

Please don't misuse the site, for example by trying to disrupt it or by copying it wholesale. You're welcome to link to any page.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The date below shows the latest version.
